Anyone have problems with this pistol? All reviews and tests rate it very high and reliable. I have had no problems in the first 200 rounds. It fired flawlessly and deadly accurate at 10yards. Last week while at the range I noticed the take down pin coming out after firing a clip. I just pushed it in and thought nothing of it. It did it again in a few more rounds. It was cleaned and inspected and nothing was found. Yesterday while at the range and after firing a clip of 6 the pin was almost all the way out. I pushed it in and after the next clip it did the same. It almost fell out! I just sent it to Taurus so we'll see. I hope it's not a flaw, it is really a great pistol.

Research could not have been too well .

Here's the story direct from the actual owners. There are links within the links that need to be gone through.

Notice that those who DO NOT own TCP have opinions as hearsay with no experience with them. There are those who also have opnions based on "conventional wisdom" that is not wise.

What is a clip?
its what the bullets go into, don't be didactic.
we all know the proper term is magazine.

i haven't researched the gun in question, but i seem to hear more bad than good about it
What a silly statement.
I have heard more good than bad.
I just put one on layaway because I didn't like the LCP

Sounds like an out of spec takedown pin, it sometimes happens to LCPs and P3ATs as well. It may also be that the spring that holds the pin is weak. It should be an easy fix.

My rear most frame pin had to be replaced on my LCP because it kept backing out 1/4 an inch every 50 rounds. Ruger sent me a new one and now its as good as gold.

If I were to buy another pocket .380 I'd get the TCP, the ergos are great on it.

I've said this before: I can't believe how much I like my TCP. I do not have any affection for Taurus in general (yes I've owned several). But my TCP is well made, is very comfy for a little mouse gun, and has been flawless to date.

BTW, it's made in the USA.
