Although I have not been a true "fan" of Taurus pistols in past years, especially of their DAO trigger, I have made exceptions to PT145 Mil Pro SA/DA and now TCP 738.

I think Taurus did go through some growing pains with the TCP 738 model but if the issues were worked out, I think many will find it to be a suitable "pocket" 380 pistol that's certainly "affordable".

I think 10,000+ rounds without failure, although limited sample testing of the model, speaks to the design and construction of the pistol when other 380 rental pistols experienced failures.

Perhaps it's time to give the TCP 738 a second look?

My friend's is a real jam-o-matic. So their are some duds out there. I was looking at some of Taurus's guns today at my LGS and they sure do look really nice. Im just afraid to take a bite of that apple so far.

The TCP is probably the best value out there in a micro 380 and although not my favorite, it is the one I carry most because of it's dimensions, weight and reliability.

Mine has also been flawless.

The TCP is definitely more refined than the P3AT. I have wanted one for years but they're ALWAYS out of stock locally.
