Saw it online, a few days later. One in local store. Was very interested.

Got to play with it a bit. and compared to the other micro 380 polymer offerings it seem pretty refined. Much better finish than a kel tec. Feels nice in my hand too. Grip surface is nice, may be a bit painful, but wouldn't it be anyway?

Was told the trigger is a lot smoother than p3at or lcp. And I like the fact it has last round hold open and a slide lock/release.

Might pick one up.... but may wait. See what reliability is like. These small 380's tend to need... repairs at first.

Or I could save my money get a not-as-pocketable pmr-30 when those come out. Also wanted to check out the 9mm slim taurus has. Anybody handled one of those?

I stopped to get one yesterday but they had a mint condition Stoeger Cougar for $300 and I couldn't resist. I will likely get the TCP in the near future but I want to hear others' experiences too before I get one.

I handled a 709 slim the other day. Seemed like a nice gun, but the trigger was strange and rough. The DA restrike pull stacked, and the take up on the SA was foreign...

I didn't shoot it, so I will refrain from judgment.

I also handled a TCP and a LCP. (Same gun show in Kingsport, TN, different vendors.) The TCP has facets and sharp edges, while the LCP has a smoother profile. I was not able to try their triggers.

As an aside, interestingly there were three Seecamp .32s at the same show.

I'm still kickin' around whether I want another .380 or something else. Hell, I never carry the one I have. I prefer bigger calibers. The stainless TCP is the .380 I'd get. It's a well made gun. Haven't shot it, but the stainless is what I like. The slide lock is fine, but something I can live without on a pocket gun, but stainless attracts me. :D It's a good lookin' gun, too.

i got one yesterday and put 100 perfect rounds through it. This pistol is make in the USA and appears well made and seems to be a smaller version of the 709 based upon the trigger. As far as I can tell no second strike but the slide locks open every time on mine (it came in 20 minutes before i got my hands on it so it may have the newer magazines).

This is a really nice pistol. And Taurus packages it in something useful (a beli clip case).

The trigger is basically the same as that on the 709 which I feel is a very good trigger.

I almost purchased an NAA guardian in 32 just because it a work of art. But I'll save that for later.

Dont' post stuff when you just wake up...

I bought one that was defective upon purchase. It was acting like it had double strike capabilities and wouldn't fire but once every ten strikes. I got it back yesterday, and I'll see how it fires this weekend.

When it did fire the last time I used it, the recoil was easily manageable. It points well and seems to group pretty well. I hope it's fixed because I really like the pistol.

I took mine out today again (i have the week off). I feel the gun functions very well and its pretty accurate. I sometimes really sling a piece of lead way off the target but if you just twitch a bit, this short sight radius will really tell on you.

I shot some remmington 380 JHP through it today and that is the dirtiest ammo i've ever seen in terms of it gunking up a gun. After 1 box out of 2, the pistol was absolutely filthy and it did have some problems loading the last round. Friction problems. A little push on the slide completed the transaction.

I have never had a problem with the gun ejecting a round or feeding another other than if I got lazy with it after if was really dirty. I had my spray bottle of M-pro7 and after a few squirts of that the pistol started feeding properly again on the last round of the mag.

I really enjoy shooting the pistol. Of ALL my 380s, this is the easiest to shoot and the least painful. I'll probably shoot it and carry it a lot. The 380 I have the most faith in simply because of time of use and reliability is my Bersa 380. It really is the cream of the 380 crop. But as for the little Taurus, I would trust it to fire 50 round after a cleaning without fail. Don't know about limp wristing because its hard to limp wrist a well behaved small pistol like this.

Thanks for the range report.

Just a thought though ... have you tried shooting it without any lube on it? Your description sounds like too much lube is involved. Or maybe some Teflon dry lube is in order; the kind they sell at Lowe's works great, and should minimize pocket lint in the gun.

I first cleaned the pistol with M-pro 7 and no lube. I thought i might need more lube. I'll have to try that teflon stuff to see how it works. I 'usually" rub the friction sites with some hoppes oil but for some reason didn't this time as the gun was not very gunked up neither as new or after the first session.

Thanks for the product tip. I'll give it a try.
