I very nearly bought a Taurus TCP .380 pistol a few weeks ago. What kept me from doing so was this video. For those of you who have and carry the TCP, have you ever run into this issue or would it keep you from carrying your TCP for SD?
Those of you who do not have one, is this a sufficient reason not to buy a TCP?

Forgive me if this has already been talked about here.

I've never had it happen and it looks like he has to intentionally and carefully short stroke the trigger to make it happen.

A buddy of mine bought one about three months ago. He has several hundred rounds down range using various 95 grain hollow points. The only probelm he has had was multiple fail to feeds after loading up a new mag and racking the slide. You could nudge the slide forward and it would feed. Once the initial round was chambered, no problem feeding the rest of the mag. He polished the feed ramp with semi-chrome polish and a Dremel and the problem went away, no fail to feed since. Aside from that it runs just fine.

I agree with what Kokapelli said above..

the shooters is causing the problem and nothing is wrong with this pistol. I have the Taurus TCP and like it as a pocket gun. There are many handguns that one can not short stroke the trigger.

This is an operator induced issue. I have a TCP with several hundred rounds through it without a single problem. It is a nice reliable little pistol.

The guy in the video seems to be trying to create a problem where none exists. I checked 17 different DAO, DA/SA, Safe Action guns including the TCP 738 in my assortment. From those I got 5 different reactions. I found that if you operate a handgun as they are designed to be operated you will have no problem.
