I have been looking for a .22 Mag revolver for awhile now, just couldn't find something unique that caught my eye.......until today. I went in to the store to get a bullet puller, and saw this in the case.

A H&R 676, with 12" barrel. Perfect Coon gun !!!

Instant love !!!. The revolver was made in 1979, and barely has a turn line on either cylinder. I probably payed too much ( $ 325.00 ). But I couldn't pass it up.

What do you think?

Good snag! I had one of those a while back. It's a mean .22, especially in magnum mode. Probably the most accurate handgun I've ever shot. Although I sold the 12 incher, I still have a 7 1/2" one. That one, I'll never sell. They're great guns. Enjoy!

PS There's a guy here, jamesjo, who has a ton of these. You gotta see his collection. He'll probably chime in on this thread presently.

A boasting picture:

I'd love to have that 12 incher. That should be sweet with lr or mag. Does the mag use the same frame as the lr? i have the lr, don't remember barrel length. Would love to have a mag cyl and a 12 inch barrel for mine.

Hey guys, thanks for the compliments!
Means alot coming from your peers. even more so from someone like you 32 magnum!

markallen, nice looking 676!
I'll tell you this because I just saw a thread that 32 magnum posted on, be careful when using any cleaners or polish on the case hardening colors!
They WILL disapppear!
I learned on one of mine, before Jim cautioned me, the piece doesn't look so good anymore!

I'll get around to posting pics tomorrow.
I think everybody has probably seen them multiple times, but there may be someone who is still interested.

jaymo,
What model # do you have?
Numrich shows the 12" barrel as being sold out. longest they have available is 7.5".
If you really want a mag cylinder, I have a spare I would part with, it should fit any of these models 649,,676, and 686.

Once more, here are pics of my convertibles, hope you enjoy them!
Have alot of time and luck involved in finding these.
All have the original boxes.
I don't have any model 676's yet, but they are on the list, if I could find all 4 barrel lengths offered in 1980, I would be a VERY happy man.
