I saw a Thomson Contender 22 semi at the local gun shop over the weekend and it was so pretty I had lustful thoughts. I've heard that particular model is extremely accurate but it will jam up if it isn't fed the ammo it likes. I've had terrible luck with 22 semi rifles jamming and I had got rid of all them and swore to never get another but that TC is soooo good looking. Has anyone had any experience with this particular gun?

It is a nice looking gun. Maybe do a search here and thefiringline.com, and there is a T/C forum at rimfirecentral.com.

In a nutshell, some people are very happy with the T/C, and they're very accurate, but a whole lot of people end up sending them back to T/C and getting a 2nd or 3rd replacement rifle before getting a good one or giving up altogether and going with another rimfire rifle.

I was interested for a bit, but talked to enough disgruntled owners (and former owners), did some research, and decided it wasn't worth it. Too many owners with reliability problems.

I had one of the first ones--beautifull gun---but function was worse than a single shot cause I was forced to pick out the empties with my pocket knife.

Maybe they've fixed them now----but I doubt I'll ever buy another one----my experience even put me off considering a TC muzzleloader.
