I've been looking but cannot find someone, other than volquartsen, that makes a good 22 mag semi auto rifle. I had a 597 ls bb but had nothing but magazine feed issues . I tried several remington clips but no luck. any suggestions?

Cobrajet;

Hey, you're talking about a rifle so how can it be the wrong forum? Now start talkin' cars on here & you'll get the boot unless there's a direct connection to firearms.

Not too many .22 mag semi-auto rifles made that I know of as far as that goes. The Ruger 10/22 variant, Volquartsen, H&K, your 597, and I'm hard pressed to think of any others.

Might have been some store-brand, but finding the info on those is gonna be hard.

get another remmy, just get newer mags, and make the guide rails loose, all the way out, and then just barely put them back in, as to close it back up. then it will run fine. Marlin and H/R, and Kodiak all made some damn fine 22 mag semiautos in the past. Also Brno and Mossberg; those last two are considered the best ever.

The Marlin everybody's talking about is the 922M. Nice gun. I had one until, like a fool, I sold it. They still turn up on auction sites sometimes.

thanks guys I had a friend who had h&k but i dont think they offer it now. Ijust have a hard time spending 500$ on a new gun i must fix. thanks again for the input

Erma made one long ago that looked like an M-1 Carbine.

Finding parts & magazines for them might be a problem though, unless Gun-Parts Corp has them.

There must be a parallel universe because I could have written truthfully those same words, fool part and all. Dang money crunches! :mad:
