TC Encore PH Handgun Scope ?

I have one of these in 243. I also just cut off an encore .223 rifle barrel down to 17". This way I can use it as a rifle or handgun. In Southern MN we must use shotgun or handguns. On the 243 barrel I use a Bushnell 2-6x scope. But in the early morning and later afternoon, in the woods or in the open, the thin cross hair gets lost on the deer.
I am looking to put a low-power handgun scope with a red dot or illum reticle on the .223. But I can not find one. Any ideas? A basic red dot will not do as I need to reach out to 200 yards when sitting at the edge of the woods.
