Hi,
I just thought I would make a post about the new receiver mounted aperture sights for the Ruger 10/22. Tech-SIGHTS has developed a "GI" type aperture and post sighting system that gives the 10/22 a full service rifle sight picture. The apertures and posts are compatible with the AR rifles so the shooter has a generous selection of components available for customizing the sight picture. We are also in the process of bringing a barrel adaptor for the .920 barrels. I am posting a couple pictures of the set up or visit http://www.Tech-SIGHTS.com

I am still hoping you will make a sight for the AK. I love my SKS Tech-Sight.

We get a lot of requests for an AK sight. It is a little harder to get to something solid for mounting, as the receiver cover sits so high. We are considering the possibilities. As far as the Tech-SIGHTS for the Ruger 10/22 fitting older guns, I suppose it would depend on the make and model. We are in the process of prototyping for the Marlin 60 also.

Is there any way you could mount those sights on a weaver base? I have been looking at some sights for my 10/22 and I kind of would like something I can swap a red dot for first time shooters, to a iron sight for m16 training, to a scope for for some squirrel hunting. I figured with a weaver base that would be pretty easy.

Or I could just get 2 or more 10/22s and call it good :D

What's the adaptor for .920 barrels? Iron sight adapter for heavy target barrels? If so, very interested!

I have them and love them, although I haven't gotten to shoot the rifle with them yet, I will this weekend and report back!

"friggin' sweat!"

That is a new one. Doesn't really paint a nice picture for me though. :D

Hmmm...could you attach it behind the cover, directly to the trunnion. I don't hav an AK anymore, but you might be able to take out the buttstock screw, put the sight in, then use an extra long screw to put it right back in. Or maybe drill and tap a couple of new holes in the trunnion.

Just a thought.

The heavy barrel adaptor is will be like this. It will slip over the end of the 920 dia. barrel and have 3/8" dovetail machined at the same elevation as the original 10/22 barrel. The end of the adaptor will have a 7/16" dia. counterbore in it so that it does not interfere with the crown on the barrel. The adaptor will be secured in place with a Lock-Tite compound, so no modification to the barrel will be necessary. I think that it will be a great addition for those who like shooting irons.

I like it, want one, but I don't like the protective ears on the front sight and I'd definitely want a ghost ring size aperture. I love ghost ring apeture sights, give instant alignment and accuracy without blocking much field of view, IE that running rabbit.

I don't like the stock sights on my Ruger, too friggin' low. I have to crawl the stock to get an eye right on the things. These sit higher, would be more natural. I think I might try some.

Definately looking forward to the HB adaptor, now I've got a good plan for my relatively new 10/22 :)

Got to use them this weekend (finally), and they work as advertised. Much easier to use than the stock sights, and plenty precise.

Now if tech sights would make a version with a built in rail......
