It's an AK "handgun" in 7.62x39mm, made in USA - black furniture, like new condition, came with 1 mag & muzzle brake. I got it out the door with no papers for $500 even at the gun show today. Did I do well, badly, or about right? I have never heard of ITM before today. Thanks.

P.S. I know it's a handgun, but it's an AK, so I put this in rifle forum...

ITM makes the receiver, and somebody bolted together a pistol AK on it. The ITM receiver is fairly popular for small builders, not in part due to the fact that they were almost always available/in stock and were also relatively inexpensive.

ITM receivers are considered OK, but not as nice as DCI receivers due to reputed differences in heat treatment and such. Overall, you should get a good service life from the pistol.

Given the price, it's hard to say who's parts kit was used. A few pics of the front trunnion stampings would tell the tale.
