Tell me what you think about this 6.8 SPC upper

At gun show today, 24" 6.8 spc upper, fluted heavy barrel (parkerized), with bolt & bolt carrier, unsure of make, $699 - seems a little steep, but maybe not - is this too much $$ for one? When do you suppose prices will drop back down? I'm in no hurry to buy, but I can go back to the show tomorrow and get it. Does a 6.8 upper that long even make sense? They also have a 16" 6.8 bbl with triangle front sight for same price.

I would say that it's a pretty good price. Think about if you bought a lower for it. Maybe $200-$300? That's not bad. At the most it would be about a $1100 gun, when all said and done. For a complete 6.8 SPC upper with match barrel, that's not too shabby these days.
