I gave it 6 more strokes of wet brush, let it sit for four hours and dry patched:
All copper and carbon gone other than a couple of areas w/light pitting. Bear in mind this is a hunting rifle w/factory barrel. A good target barrel would have cleaned up a lot quicker. Next time I will probably start with the 10 strokes/soak overnight and see what we get; that may be sufficient and we can see if there is anything to the "beneficial fouling" theory.
