For calibrated ordnance gelatin targets or inserts? I'd be interested.

Ketchup packets hot-glued to a B-27 target? A little Krylon on the packets and done, and I'm not interested. Bleeding zombies, etc. No thanks, but good luck. Shoot N C targets are fine with me, and even those are overkill for general handgun use. Cardboard backings, printed targets and a staple-gun are my most common go-to. Shaken cans of discount store-brand soda or even shotgun clays works great for rapid fire reactive targets.

I am not trying to be negative, here - please give us more information.

Perhaps you should be more specific with your idea about your reactive targets and the intended use, if you really want better criticism and/or advice. You have given us a blank page and our imagination to work with. Nobody is going to steal your idea - well, I'm not going to. I have tested products from other entrepreneurs here, some were good ideas, some were "meh." You need that information from people who are your market.

I want mine to say, "Ouch, that hurt gosh darn it!!", or, "Missed me ya' moron".

A target that heckles you would be fun. But I get enough of that when my GF is manning the spotting scope and says something funny before I pull the trigger and try to save some face.

Now that SEDIMENT brings up Jim Carey...

Oh yeah... I'd pay LOTS OF MONEY for a realistic Jim Carey target so I could kill it over... and over... and over... and over... and over again.

Gawd, I already feel like I've made the world a better place.

<pats self on back and gets a nice cold celebratory beverage>

Ahh... darn, I'm good...

Well I know you don't want to say to much about your good idea, but a few things to think about. How messy will it be to clean up, bits of cardbord let alone slimy gel or fake blood or what ever left around give us all a bad name. Can it be made to be reuseable? How hard is it to move setup? Make sure it is non-toxic you don't want to kill someones dog. Personaly I would have little use for most reactive targets exept metal and those last a long time. If I want something to "blow up" I got plenty of jugs around. I do wish you the best of luck and hope you get rich.

I would not be a customer for a one-use "realistic" target.
Now if you could provide a multi-use target that behaves in a realistic fashion to make shooting it more challenging, that would be of interest.

Jim, you'd enjoy the "Terrible Teds" used by the ATSA/NTI crew here at West Shore.

Explaining them is a little difficult, but suffice to say they are 3-d human targets that can be dressed in clothing, and while they move when hit, they only actually fall when hit (sometimes more than once) in about a 4" COM core.
