Texas CHL holders are criminals...So Wisconsin CCW holders should be made public.

Monkeyleg - I can't tell you how aggravating it is in the Fox Valley. The Post-Crescent has taken an editorial stance against the bill, and seems to be backing it up by not printing any "letters to the editor" which show the other side.

I've sent a couple rebuttals which have been polite, thoughtfully written and filled with facts. Instead, they've consistently printed poorly written drivel that are backed up with patent nonsense.

BTW, I love how when the police chiefs make comments against the PPA, it's taken as gospel. However, if any police organization supports the bill, it's just for political purposes.

Weasels. :cuss:

Texas isn't working? Are you bloody mad?

How many of those wound up as [murder] convictions, you barking moonbat? Huh? Hell, how many of them wound up being True Billed by a Grand Jury?

While not quite the same set of data, this set being a slightly shorter duration ending in May of 2000. At that time, there had been 27 arrests for Murder/Attempted Murder/Manslaughter with 3 convictions and 8 dismissils. In fact, if you look at the felony data, there is a higher rate of dismissil for CHL holders than convictions.

While not discussed in the text with the felony data, it should be pointed out that a lot of the alledged offenses reflected by the data were not in any way associated with the use of a concealed handgun, such a various intoxication charges, credit card fraud, perjury, arson, insurance fraud, tampering with government documents, etc.

Similarly the misdemeanor data include a lot of non-concealed handgun-related charges such as filing false reports, animal cruelty gambling,
DUI auto, DUI boat, driving with a suspended DL, etc.
