Hey everyone
I was wondering if anyone new of firearms manufacturers in Texas. I am thinking about moving there and I need to find a job in the firearms field. I wouldn't mind if it was a corportation or a smaller gunsmithing business. Also preferably close to Austin.

If anyone knows of anything in that area i would appreciate it very much.

In Jacksonville there is a gunsmithy that converts other makers guns to full auto and installs suppresors. He only sells the full auto to police and military. Can not recall the name... sorry.

Fort Hood and Fort Bliss often hire civilian contractors to perform upper level weapons maintainence as well.

Brother-in Arms,
I have 2 Associate Degrees in Gunsmithing, 1 in Manufacturing Technology, 18 years in Manufacturing Engineering in aerospace, and extensive education in supply chain management. I couldn't find a job in gun manufacturing in TX. You don't include your qualifications, but I would advise you to find the job before you move. The only places in TX that pay well are in aerospace. If you have the background in Manufacturing Engineering or Technology Lockheed Martin or Vought probably wants you until the next layoff. Not trying to dump on your dreams, just saying I have been there and advise you to look before you leap. Good luck.
