It's very easy to write the kid off as a gang banger, however, the guy who was cut off, however pissed off he was, did not need to start an argument. The whole thing would have been avoided if the guy had just blown it off. Rule 1 of defensive driving: the other guy is always right. It may not be fair, and you may not like it, but if you avoided the accident you don't have to deal with that moron again, unless you are dumb enough to choose to.
Cutting someone off, given the benefit of the doubt, is a simple mistake; I live in Dallas and it happens all the time, people in a hurry, frustrated that they're not being let in, realizing they're in the wrong lane too late to correct it without a bonehead move. Yelling at someone over what they did, however, is an aggressive act, and if that started the chain reaction leading to the boy's death, we could very well see this guy in court for manslaughter.
