Not mine, I have sold mine off. Came across this on another forum, and the gentleman was looking to sell it off rather than rebarrel after 200 rounds through it.

Anyone want to guess why its not shooting accurately anymore?

My guess is that its time for soem Robala Solo Mil or KG-12. :neener:

I'd like to know exactly what it is doing, but definitely looks like some foaming bore cleaner to get rid of the copper fouling would be a good start...

I have a cz 527 varmint that was shooting one hole groups at 50 yards and somehow opening up to over 10 inch groups at 100.... had me completely baffled... 3 runs of foaming bore cleaner later and a lot of blue paper towels and i now have a gun that will shoot 3/4 inch and better groups consistently with PMC ammo.

If it was shooting well before but not anymore, my guess would be excess copper fouling build-up or a damaged crown.

...and the gentleman was looking to sell it off rather than rebarrel after 200 rounds through it.

Obviously 200 rounds without even giving half a thought to cleaning the bore.

Why do people do stuff like that?

A guy in the next lane's pistol was jamming every shot a while back, and i offered assistance being somewhat familiar with the model. He said he'd had it five years, and it was always reliable before. I disassembled it quickly, and it was full of gunk. I looked up at his face, and he was pie-eyed. He had no idea how to break down the gun....taking the slide off the frame! 5 years! ....and no curiosity to see how the machine works? I generally take them apart in the store before i even get them home.

Different strokes for different folks, but people with that lack-of-attention-to-detail (as evidenced by that copper fouling in that barrel ^) are the ones that scare me the most with guns at public ranges...

Karl: You would be surprised by the number of people who use Ballistol and Hoppes. Also no idea about fouling ,,,
:cheers:I have gotten a rifle or two with simillar problems including my .22-250

i can usualy get 40-60 rounds out of my 300 (depending on bullets) before it goes all funky on me. My girl friends father cleans his rifle about once every 3 months and is perfectly happy with it hitting every 3rd or 4th shot LOL.

Here are two of my match guns.

Here was the first group I shot from my .308 barrel after it sitting on the shelf for a year, without cleaning, at least 3000 rounds since it had been cleaned before that.

1000 of those were AUS surplus..

Zak I dont know what kind a barrel that is, but seems to be exceptional.
I have found that my rifles prefer shooting clean.

I have had substantially similar experiences with Border (AI), Rock Creek, Broughton, and Satern barrels. If I include my shooting buddies in that sample, it about doubles the number of barrel manufacturers. At this point I haven't cleaned my .308 or .260 barrels in over two years and I just shot about 0.3 moa groups with both verifying zeros yesterday.

The 300 Win. Mag barrel in the first pic is nothing. When I got my Savage 12FV in .243 used, looking into the barrel was like staring at a copper colored barber pole, or copper colored candy-cane. I don't know what type of accuracy the nut that sold it to me was getting, but after using an electronic cleaner to get all the copper out (took 15 minutes), the gun is a true out of the box .5MOA rifle with hand-loads...

I would clean the bore with Bore Tech Eliminator, then the Outer's Foul Out electro-chemical device.
Then check the screws on the mounts and bases for torque.
Pull the stock from the action, look for spots rubbing on the barrel channel or other problems, then reassemble and when tightening the screws push down with one hand on the barrel and the butt on the floor.
If the results don't improve it could be the scope, crown, or barrel.
Or the ammo.
It can be a pain to track down sometimes. I've been there.
