I don't want to hurt the finish of the rifle trying to pry it out or anything. I've tried every way I can to get it to give a little with absolutely no luck, and I'm not a small guy. What's the proper way to remedy this situation?

What's specificaly stuck? You pull the collar up and pivot the bayonet out or back. Is the collar rusted on or something?

Ah *$&!, nobody told me about the collar :p

Didn't make much sense as to how I could just 'grab it and pull' as a friend of mine told me.

1. Make sure the weapon is unloaded

2. When the bayonet is folded to the side you push down on the collar and then left up until till you are at the muzzle and then you lift up over the muzzle so that it slides down the barrel.

3. Shoot

4. Be sure to finish off the opponent by stabbing them twice in the chest and once in the head or just bash them with the stock a few times

5.Make sure weapon is unloaded

6. Lift up on the Collar until it is over the muzzle and then fold the bayonett to the side

tacweapon for got step 3.5 which is 'Stab the commie/Nazi/liberal' just to make sure he's done for.

Although it has been mentioned in a roundabout way, be sure you removed the other fellow from the bayonet. Although it is possible to get the release collar to release while the bayonet is embedded in a person, it is much easier if the bayonet has been removed from the body.Check for body parts, bone or dirt inside the collar, they are spring loaded and if the spring cant compress the bayonet cannot rotate to it's closed position.
