Does anyone have any experience with the internal stiffener option added to The Belt Man's belts. I plan on IWB carry with a supertuck in 1911 and G22. Is the belt too stiff or uncomfortable with this option? Any input is appreciated.

You won't need the stiffener unless you carry a fairly heavy (38+ ozs) handgun in an OWB holster on a full time basis. And even then, its need is doubtful. In terms of comfort, that depends mostly on body shape. Check out your current belt. If it has developed a nice curve, then a stiffener might add a little discomfort depending on design. If your current belt has not taken a set, then you probably wouldn't even notice a stiffener.

Get the belt in horsehide instead, it will be stiffer without being as uncomfortable.

I have a bullhide and a horsehide BeltMan belt, they're both great, but the horsehide belt is better for extended wear.
