ok so I just recently brought got back from Maine with my bushy and put a few mags through it still shoots great like before. This time it was shooting a tuna can that my AK ammo came in a month ago. I compared it to the stag arms rifle that I built in the spring and it still seems a bit tighter. I brought a couple mags of wolf 55 grain .223 and some lake city '03 production 5.56 NATO ammo.

What I did think was interesting (although not so in a positive way) was that while the stag arms rifle fired both the wolf and nato ammo flawlessly, the bushmaster started to misfeed once every 4 or 5 shots with the wolf .223.

I tested both with slow fire and rapid fire and was rather impressed with the stag rifle. even with the myriad of magazines (cheap stamped steel to milspec M16 mags) and wolf ammo, it managed to perform without a single stopped after about 120 rounds. not bad for something I threw together from parts at my friend's house ;).

As per usual, the bushy rifle ate up the nato spec ammo just fine. I even bump fired it a few times in 5 and 6 round bursts to test it. the sights were a little high with both of them so I adjusted them a few clicks and they were fine.

so in retrospect- I highly endorse stag arms kit rifles :D great stuff.

I really need to get around to bringing some bullseye targets out there so I can take some of those grouping pictures that everyone loves. :D
