Fusion don't trip my trigger, if I need anything that tuff and the ph isn't available or isn't tuff enough, this stellar guy from Hawaii helped supplement a stash of 86 gr etips that will ABSOLUTELY do the trick!
Yeah they are pretty tough. The .280 fusions were harder than i liked.

You guys try the etips in the 6-284?

Naaaa they're a bit long, when we're done burning that barrel up I look forward to it!!! Saved some back stamped 6-284 just for that day, gonna fast twist it, the new lapua brass has been nice!
Eta they are my GO TO hide bullet, never had a nasty exit, always an exit, just never nasty enough for comment, switching all my hide guns to a mono hunting (not varmint) bullet in one way or another, but even in .243 those nasty 86s provide a real sweet spot in bc and velocity that is great for our plains/ prairie winds, larger dogs, longer shots, great terminal performance, and smallish exits. The .22-250 is the last to make the convert, pressure too early with 50ttsx, too slow of a twist for something much longer, the 62 gr swift does do a nice exit of only 1" after blowing through a skull plate, brain, and rear skull/vertabrae of a thick muley at 50ish yds, looking forward to trying 53 vmax on dogs in the next few weeks
