I thought I would post this here so our side could also call their congress members. On another note, they banned me on their Facebook. I feel so regected.

"Keep those calls to your Members of Congress coming! Reach them through the U.S. Capitol hotline at (202) 224-3121 and demand that they take action IMMEDIATELY to: 1) Tighten the screening/background check system for gun buyers, and; 2) Renew the ban on assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition magazines. Let's get our volume level WAY UP and make change that will save lives!"

From The Coalition to Stop Gun Violence Facebook page.

Before one calls be sure to have comments about specific bills or issues. Don't just call and say "protect the 2nd amendment". Also, be very courteous and say please and thank you. Its also a good idea to also call a legislator's office after a vote and thank them if they voted in manner favorable to your views. A family member worked for many years as the Sec. of Press of a state senator and had to often answer the phone for calls such as this. People who are rude, go on rants or are too vague are generally ignored.

I think this may belong on the Advocacy forum.

I called all 13 of my state congressmen today (slow day today), even the guys not from my district. And I left messages telling them to support gun rights.
