I would like to pick up a 19c, but sure would be miserable if they went and release the gen4 model a week later. Any "real dates" as to the release.

Literally zero problem for me,

Because I run CZ's.

There is a world other than Glockworld............

I like the slightly slimmer grip, the texture, and the newer mag release a bit more than the Gen 3s although I'm up in the air on the new recoil spring assembly. I don't own a Glock at the moment but there's a chance that I might buy one this year. I don't know if I'll go with Gen3 or Gen4. I don't think the new stuff is a dealmaker or a dealbreaker but I'm leaning towards the 4 a little. The 23/19 should be out at some point this summer I hear. There's a number of pistols on my wish list so I might skip it altogether. After all, a Glock is a Glock is a Glock. I can buy one almost anywhere at any gun shop any time.

I have plenty of Glocks. Newest is a 3rd gen G17. Might buy a G34 and G20 some day though. I really like the 2nd gens the best.

I sold my Gen3 G17 to get the Gen4 G17 and I am glad I did. I have rough hands, so the new grip texture really helps out.
The bigger mag release is a nice addition too. Not too happy with how they did the interchangeable backstraps.

If you want a Gen4 G19, then I would wait for it, or look at a RTF G19.

There are a lot of reports about the ambi mag releases falling apart or sticking in the release position.

I'd hold off or get one of the remaining earlier models, it sounds like Glock may have dropped the ball with some of the features.

Expect a Gen 5 in the not too distant future.

Did a gun show today and finally got to handle a Gen 4 Glock. Guess what -- it still feels like a Glock, and for me that ends the matter. They just don't fit me.

I've held off since I sold my Glocks years ago... Why change now?

At the current pace of development, Glock will morph into an M&P by their 6th generation. ;)

AFAIK...
Release dates for US:
Currently available = Glock 17Gen4 and 22Gen4.
Rumored during Q3 2010 = Glock 19Gen4, 23Gen4 and 37Gen4.

FYI...
The Gen4 Glocks have a reversable magazine release system.
The replaceable backstrap sizes = small size [approx 2-3mm shorter reach than current 3rd gen], medium size [same as 3rd gen], & large size [same as 3rd gen large frames (Glock 20/21)].
