The Hellcat's "U" site. Good Idea?

It's a CC handgun and the sights reflect that. The huge U notch acts like half of a ghost ring, except that you're not supposed to center the dot in the ring. For the typical ranges and training for this handgun, you put the dot in the cup, so to speak. The caveat would be aligning the top of the black front sight to the top of the white ends of the U notch, which is more difficult for precision. The sight is made more for speed than precision, of course. The concept is not that much different from 2 dot sights like Sig's basic sight or the M9; or circle 8 sights for that matter in terms of vertical alignment.

What I've read of the church shooting in Texas the good guy made a head shot from 45 feet. What cha bet he used his sights?

That's 45' with a blacked out unotch rear and large dot front. I can't do that without sights. I ain't Bob Munden.

Being the training professional he was. I'll bet he did...he wasn't snapping that shot off as he came up on target. In that collection of people screaming and rushing about, I'll bet he felt his trigger surface as the shot broke also

My 1st reaction is that I don't like them. But I'm going to remain open minded until they've had more time, and I've had some trigger time actually using them.
