I'm chasing single digit ES for my 6.5 Creedmoor and would like to have a scale that measures grains to two decimal places so that I could use the ChargeMasters to get close then trickle powder to get a more precise weight. Any recommendation for something around the $200 mark. I'd rather not spend $600 on a scale but if that's what I have to do ....
MCMXI,
I and a few other folks on the forum use a Gempro 250 electronic scale. I forget the exact price, but it is below $200. It has a resolution of .02gr, same as the $600 beauty in the OP video. I'm sure it isn't as sensitive as the $600 one, though. I don't use mine for trickling, just for load verification, so can't vouch for its suitability for your purpose. Operates on batteries or an included wall wart. I got mine from Oldwillknots.com.

higgite, thanks ... Amazon prime has the GemPro 250 for $142.61 with free 2-day shipping so I just ordered one. It'll be here on Friday in time for me to make up some loads to test following taliv's experiment.

I have a pair of ChargeMasters so will use those to dump a couple of tenths below the desired charge and then use a Redding trickler with the GemPro to finish. I'm looking forward to seeing if I can lower ES numbers using this method. I'm also curious as to how precise/accurate the CMs are.

Gempro 250

Sears recently had it on sale. With shipping, it was around $120. Checking the Sears website, it's currently listed at $120.99. They delivered one to me in only a couple of days.

Thanks for the tip but I'm happy to pay the extra $20 to have it here by Friday compared to a week Friday from Sears.

taliv, sorry to hijack the thread a bit.

Carry on!

taliv, I apologize again for the hijack .... it is tangentially related to your original post though :)

higgite, the GEMPRO-250 PRECISION came in today so thanks for the recommendation. I hope it works as good as it looks. What a neat little package and in a useful carrying case too. I'll be using it tonight along with a ChargeMaster or two. One of the first things I'm going to do is break down five loads from a few weeks back to see how accurate my CM is.
