Everyone says you should practice with your weak hand incase you were to injure the primary. Well it turns out to be great advise.

It happened to me last night. I got into a bit of a struggle with a prisoner and broke my right ring finger at the first knuckle. Not only that but the doctor thinks the chip cut a tendon or two and thats the reason why I cant fully extend or fully close my finger.

Definitely changes the grip on your pistol when one of your fingers doesnt work right.

I got an appointment with a hand surgeon comming up so hopefully its fixable. Wish me luck.

It might not look like much but it hurts like a mother!

It's strange that he didn't tape it to the middle finger while you're waiting for the surgeon.

I had my left ring finger damaged, got tied up in a tire changer, just about the same a big chip and some damaged tendons. Don't fret It will come back OK just takes time, fingers are very resilient. And YEAH it hurt like#(*(_)(*^

A buddy of mine almost lost half his hand to a table saw, and now 2 years later he's back to nearly normal. It's amazing what they can do now.

you'll be fine, it always seems worse than it usually is.

i got my left hand/wrist caught in a cnc router in august of 08. other than a little nerve damage and numbness i was back to normal by april of 09. i can still play guitar, piano and shoot just fine.

My rifle coach almost lost his right arm at mid-forearm in an industrial accident. It was re-attached by some skilled surgeons and he had PT and rehab 5 mornings a week. Every afternoon he would use right and left hands to shoot a .45 government model, light target loads at first, and then pull the handle on the reloader to fill his empty cases. He built up enough strength and skill to regain use of his right hand and become proficient with his left.
