Greetings all,

I just got back from making the 310 mile round trip drive to pick up two that I have been wanting for a long long time.

The first, a S&W 12 Airweight, blued, about 85% finish, 4 inch with a round butt frame. The grips are incorrect, and thus have a bit of a gap at the top. Most of the finish is still bright and shiny, but has some holster wear at the muzzle and on the edges of the cylinder. Also a touch of wear on the bottom front edge of the frame and the trigger guard, and some minor bolt drag marks. Must have been worked over by someone who knew what they were doing because the trigger is very nice. I have a feeling this one will get carried a lot.

The second, an unfired S&W 940, in correct box, with S&W brown with blue markings wax paper, 10 factory moon clips, factory cleaning rod and swab, and warranty sheet, shooting tips booklet and manual. Super clean. Can't make up my mind if I want to shoot it or sit on it a bit.

Paid $600 plus tax for the pair. :D

I have a 640-1

I have a 640-1 that my wife bought for my 60th birthday. I was just thinking that it is the perfect gun to carry in my leather vest while riding my Fat Boy. It's very accurate and comfortable to shoot. I carry the gun and one speed loader. I feel very well armed.

Great score RG , this may be a dumb question but can .380 acp be fired from the 940 ?

In theory if you could get the clips tight enough it might work, but the case is shorter, and lacks the taper so the case head is smaller, so I wouldn't think that it would be a very reliable option. The case would literally be kind of floating in space just held there by the moon clip. I might try a few just to see if they will stay in the clips later.

I couldn't find a Tyler TGrip in my stash, so I put the grips off of my old 547 on it. Easier to hang on to now, but doesn't detract from the classic charm.
