This is my first and only lever gun; the Marlin 1894c .357. I use the NcStar picatinny rail ($8 on Amazon) so I can switch back and forth between my "el cheapo" Tasco 4x32 scope and TruGlo red dot. I can also leave it bare and use the iron sights with the picatinny because the valley down the center of the rail leaves the sights unobstructed. This is one of the most versatile and fun guns I've ever owned. Please be gentle this is my first post on THR.

Wild West Triggers
Wow am I impressed! I installed a Wild West Happy Trigger in my 1894 and cannot believe the results. I thought it would take some but not all of the flop out and I was completely mistaken. These are well worth the investment and I couldn't be happier.
