The Most Awesome Day At The Range!!! Springfield and Dustin Ellermann!!

I've been volunteering some time at my local indoor range/gun store/class 3 dealer (shameless plug: Lonestar Indoor Gun Range). I help out with sales, minor gun repair, general clean up in the range.

Well it was "Range Day" with Springfield Armory. The rep showed up with a plethora of XDs XDMs, 1911 (which they aren't shipping ) a M1A and SOCOM 2. All for us and customers to try out for the cost of ammo. I scored some really cool swag too!

Then we had a special visitor to showcase some suppressors and techniques. Dustin Ellermann from season three of Top Shot!

He is a really cool guy, shot against some folks, signing autographs, golfballs, inert 500 S+W and .50 BMG rounds. He was up there all day for 8 hours. Not just a "Hi, I'm here, let's go." Spent lots of time shaking hands, taking pics etc.

So that was my day, just thought I would share.

He's not a rep for Springfield. The two are not affiliated. He just come down for range day. The only thing was he asked for donations to pay off the chapel his church built, in exchange for the autographed items he brought (t sirts and the like) but would sign anything you put in front of him.
