I've been wanting to post these videos for a while now. I was going to add them to the Inside a Chinese sword factory thread as a way to show something that is essentially the exact opposite of that environment, but thought they'd be better showcased all by themselves.

Chisel Making

Damascus Knife Making
http://vimeo.com/56287630
The videos are done by John Neeman tools: hand forged woodworking knives and tools. The man who started the company, Jacob, originally worked in the film industry. That wasn't rewarding enough for him, so he decided to start making hand crafted tools in the old world style. I assume he is also responsible for the videos, which are quite well done. I know they are just marketing pieces, but I am fascinated with them enough to watch them over and over.
There are some other videos hosted at that vimeo site showing this guy and his crew hand hewing timber (with their own hand crafted tools I assume) to be used for his house. A very driven individual for sure.
(btw, if someone can tell me how to embed videos from vimeo, that would be swell - my attempts didn't work)
