So, from another thread, I was going to put a Volquartsen Carbon Fiber barrel into my T/CR22, but it wasn't fitting [not even close to fitting]. Awhile back, I had purchased a KIDD trigger group for it. Amazing, light and crisp...which is why I thought about the barrel change.

But after the barrel didn't work, I switched the T/CR22 back to all OEM.

Yesterday, I picked up the KIDD receiver and parts and last night, I constructed the complete build. It's basically mostly KIDD, but with the Volquartsen barrel. Stock is from Boyd. Let me know what you think. Volquartskidd 01.jpg Volquartskidd 02.jpg Volquartskidd 03.jpg

Not sure what it was about the Volquartsen barrel, but I'm glad you got a KIDD in yours. That's a really nice setup, BTW.

What trigger do you have in it?

Pretty darn nice but if it were mine I would chop the fore end off right in front of the black stuff. I know it is just me but stubby barrels in regular length stocks just look wrong. That's what I get for growing up when short barrels were not a thing I suppose and as long as it suits you is what counts. You are going to really enjoy that Kidd trigger.

doubleh, for me,...that's actually something I like about this rifle. :) But yeah, each of us have our likes and dislikes. Thank you for your reply!

I agree the barrel is too short for that stock, but I wouldn't cut the stock I'd toss that brake and screw a 5-6" suppressor on it.

Looks great, how does it shoot ? What trigger and optics ?

Jeff
Thank you! I took it out to the range for the first time today. Shot ~180 rounds of CCI Standard Velocity through it to "break it in". That will be the cartridge I'll be using in it. Anyway, not sure how many rounds has to go through a barrel before it starts to shoot them well, but at 50 yards, I can get all shots on a 1.5" circle...and some of the better groups were 1/4th inch.

The trigger is a KIDD. Optic is Vortex,...though I'll have to get back to you on which one. I'm not at my apartment to see the box.

Yeah, I definitely won't be cutting the stock. Again,...I like the short barrel on a stock like that. But I don't have any suppressors. Don't want to go through the hoops and money it takes to get one.
