Yep, Ronnie was armed and the cowboy he played in the movies came out in real life.
 
Teddy supposedly carried some kind of FN and it once fell out of his cummerbund on the King of Spain's toes. Don't know if this is true.

Lincoln was a gun enthusiast and played around with designing rifle sights. He impressed soldiers with his marksmanship when he tested new rifles.
 
It was either Lincoln or Teddy Roosevelt who had a range set up on the White House grounds and when new rifle designs were being pitched to the Army, he would test them on site.

Looks like we've come a long ways since then... huh.

There are several accounts of Lincoln doing this.
 
maybe I missed it - but does anyone have any info on What he carried?

....finally in page 709 (the footnotes of Dutch) it is mentioned that Reagan carried a 1934 Walther PPK .380 pocket pistol that he acquired during his days in Des Moines.
Reagan said he carried the pistol in his briefcase, even while he was President.
