i havnt got anything against a hi point,my dad and brother havnt had a big caliber handgun long ,and the .45 and 9 both go bang when you pull the trigger.

It's a Hi-Point. I wouldn't care about its looks if it didn't perform how it looked. But it's a cheap pistol as that's what it was designed to be. Even the financially down deserve a means of defending themselves and their own. Hi-points may not shoot well but they feed, fire, and eject cartridges well enough to get by. What it comes down to is it's not meant to be a presentation pistol.

I dont own a Hi-Point and the OP was not to dismiss it's potential effectiveness. As a matter of fact, this thing probably could be used defensively even without ammo. Just show it to an attacker and they will probably be repulsed

That is normally my feeling as well, thats why I own these ugly Glocks This thing though is just a world of ugly beyond.....

Ok fine, if it works then great. I may be a tack driver... but gawd it's just so ugly! And that crazy revolver looking thing is not one bit better.

Glocks are a portrait of beauty compared to those two.

May be ugly, but that's a fine shooting pistol. If you actually hold one you realize that they are heavy but well balanced.

I own a Hi-Point and I must say that is over the top. The frame isn't too bad but that slide must be sanded and painted immediately.

I heard this came from the factory that way, right?
