The Weatherby Vanguard Series 2

i am wanting to know how the new Vanguard Series 2 is doing & how many of you fellas has one . I am in the process of getting me one of these in 300 WBY Magnum let me know how you guys like the New Weatherby

Good solid entry level rifle, but not sure on the caliber. If you want a magnum 30 cal, I would just go with a 300 win mag and spend a lot less on ammo. But if your set on a weatherby mag then thats fine too.

I to would gone with the 300 win mag. easier on the pocket and shoulder. But the rifles are sound. Just to be none the the vanguard line would typicaly out shoot the pruty'r higher cost weatherby line.

I have one in 25-06 that I'm pleased with. I find myself shooting it more than my other 06s, but that may be because its fairly new...

I don't know what the rifle is going to be used for, but if hunting, I would go with the .257. It will handle anything in the lower 48 and do it flat and fast. Either way, an excellent choice in a rifle.

Held a 257 Wby mag yesterday. Thought seriously about it: look like a solid build. But I don't need (read that really really want) a 257.

I'll go along with the 257 Wby also. My son and I both have one and it's our go to gun for the Pennsy woodlands.
