Tiger rag, they seem to be holding up nicely. I have been using 8-10 coats of acrylic clear coat and my son accidentally knocked one over on the floor and it didnt even leave a mark. Walking through the woods rubbing up against branches, twigs and briars wont have any impact on them. Like all stocks though if ya take a screwdriver and purposely gouge it or drop it concrete it will obviously leave a mark. I am looking into this Krylon tough cote and if I can get my hands on it and its good I will start using that, the only draw back is it is a glossy finish in which I will hit it 2x with the flat to wipe out that sheen. I believe that under normal hunting and shooting conditions my finish will hold up as well as any other finished stock. Everyone that has purchased a stock from me has been more than impressed. I do have references if need be.
