League City police said a man stole a purse from 50-year-old woman at gunpoint at the store in the 1700 block of F.M. 646 at about 1:30 p.m. Friday.
A 4-year-old child was in the woman's car, police said.
Investigators said that even though the surveillance video was distorted, they were able to get enough information to identify the robber's vehicle.
The vehicle was tracked down to a trailer park in Pearland, officials said.
Detectives said that additional investigations involving the registered owners provided sufficient probable cause and warrants for three people were obtained.
Rhiannon Lee Kieselhorst, 26, Matthew Alan Johnson, 23, and Roderick Tremayne Owens, 20, have been charged with aggravated robbery.
Kieselhorst and Johnson were arrested shortly after the warrants were issued and their bond was set at $100,000 each. Owens was already in the Brazoria County Jail when the warrant was issued and his bond is set at $50,000.
after he was returning to his car and you could get away from the location of your child. However, it was in the day time and even here in Texas, I doubt you would have any justification for discharging your weapon.
As long as the gunman is within range of shooting you and is still armed, you're still in imminent deadly peril.
Situational awareness would have probably helped her avoid this
Extremely stupid of the robbers to use their own SUV with that obnoxious hood ornament on it. How many suburbans do you think were running around that town with 4lbs of chrome hanging off the end of the hood? Once that made the news the phones probably lit up in seconds with info.
