OK, it's September 13, 2004. AWB is history!! But, I feel as if I have been lied to. Sara Brady and her ilk have been saying the streets will be flooded with Uzi's and AK-47's if the ban expires. I looked on every street and every ditch between home and work this morning and did not find any Uzi's or AK's, NOT ONE! Did I sleep in too late and the rest of you "gun nuts" picked them all up before I woke up? Are Uzi's and AK's the only ones supposed to be flooding the streets? I'm keeping my eye on the weather and if we have any AW floods coming, I'll let you all know!

:neener:

Hey standby.....

I was looking for the same thing! I've been checking outside every few minutes, and still no flood! Do you really think that they would actually not tell the truth??? GASP!

Gave NPR a whoopin this morning!

NPR was trying to say the same thing (AKs and UZIs available now) and included a number of anti-gun proponents in their report. Not a single pro-2nd amendment source to be heard. I wrote them this morning and pointed to their dishonesty by telling them the AKs and UZIs (as they mean them - fully automatic weapons) are stilled banned as a result of the 1986 ban. I asked them why they couldn't just report the news without all the bias.

<sarcasm>It's a good thing the state of New York will continue to ensure that no evil black assault rifles will make it into the hands of terrorists to perform unspeakable atrocities with.</sarcasm>

12GA: Yeah, your neighbor NJ is doing its part too.

I said elsewhere on this forum, I won't particularly WANT an AW, but it upsets me to be told I CAN'T have one.

i was lounging around last night, and was surprised at a sudden thunderstorm! flashes of lightning, thunderous booms, and then hail! now we never get thunderstorms in southcentral alaska, maybe one a year, if that, and never in september! so i was fully expecting a downpour of new toys, but alas, it was just rain and hail.

:(

Not only that, I just went to two local shops and not a one of them had any standard capacity magazines. I figured that if the streets were not flooded, then at least the gunshops would be.

y'all just ain't fish'n the right pools

FOOLS!

The AWB doesn't expire until midnight tonight! The streets will not even be rising. let alone flooded, with AK's or UZI's until at least dawn tomorrow!

mhdishere: <sarcasm> yeah, but we'll be the ones laughing when all those so-called "free" states start experiencing a sudden rash of drive-by bayonettings. </sarcasm>

Yeah, how come I haven't been able to get my paws on an AK-47 BBSOCMG
(big bad slayer of civilians Machine gun)? I have been searching all over the streets, but have yet to see a black market dealer, or even a measly gunfight!

I heard that the hurricane hunter airplanes flying through Ivan got pounded on their airframes today with AK's floating in the wind and waiting to rain down (in a Bush rain of terror). I wish Ivan would come to Colorado, but I think I am out of luck!

"Your weather for the Wabash Valley: tonight, light shower of Glock 17 magazines, followed by scattered showers of P226 magazines. Tomorrow steady pouring of AR-15s mixed with HK93s. Be on look out for magazines of all types. In the long range forecast, thickening clouds of eeevil-looking carbines, rifles, shotguns and pistols throughout North Central Indiana."

:D

Sounds like clear-sailing to me, and good sleeping weather. :D
