I got a great deal on gunbroker from budsgunshop on what the auction said was a black stingray with adjustable sights and a chrome barrel and when it came in it had the fixed three dots and the non chrome barrel.

This being my second deal with buds when i told my FFL about it they said that i needed to accept the transfer and then contact buds for return. That is not what buds return policy is from what i read online.

I spoke to a couple people at budsgunshop and they were very helpful. They offered to send me a label to return it because they cant promise that the next one id get would have adjustable sights or chrome barrel, or if i decided to keep it, i would get a 25$ gift card.

I got this pistol for right at 350$ and it feels good. I reload and like the idea of having adjustable sights.

What would you guys do in this situation? Am I able to swap out the sights using cz75 parts? I live in alaska and in my town they dont have a gunsmith for installing them so that could be tricky.

This gun feels like its fit for me though. The trigger pull is great im just bummed out about the sights. Do i keep it or send it back?

New sites and barrel are gonna cost you a lot more than a mere $25 gift card. Sounds like they're buying you off for real cheap. To get that $25, you'll probably be spending more, right?

Didn't you post earlier that you specifically wanted adjustable sites? I think that'll bother you in the long run if you settle for less than what you wanted.

Bud has good customer service.

If it wasn't what you ordered or was misrepresented, send it back. I bought a CZ 557 advertised as a walnut stock. I was really disappointed when it was Beech with a walnut finish and also came without scope rings. Scope rings for a CZ run about $75 and used to come with the rifle. I called them, they sent a call tag and I shipped it back. No problem.

If you keep it and the gun doesn't shoot to point of aim now what. At least with adjustable sights you can change the elevation if you need to.

Its just nagging me because ive owned pistols with fixed sights before. Wish i could shoot the darn thing and then decide :banghead:

They can't promise it because that adjustable rear and chromed barrel version you saw was the 2013 model and you got a 2014.
They are no longer available new and if you find one expect to pay a premium for a used older version over the NIB new version.

Didn't you post earlier that you specifically wanted adjustable sites?
Yep, we already went over this before. I was thinking wow, another person with the same problem. In fact I said the same exact thing happened to me when this came up before.
An online dealer advertised the older one, I bought it and I got the newer one.
I guess it didn't sink in that I was telling exactly what would happen as the older ones are not going to be bought new any more.
The Canik sight fix issue has already been discussed in the CZforumsite.
I think that'll bother you in the long run if you settle for less than what you wanted.
I thought it would bother me but for what we are paying and what we are getting, it's worth it to just get the aftermarket sights.
The barrel not being chrome also got me but it's all but forgotten now.
Considering you will pay about $200 more to get the CZP01 which the Stingray is modeled after, it is all good.
The P01 doesn't come with an adjustable either so...

@impureclient- Yeah i was bummed but because they specifically said that it had the sights in the description AND had that photo I figured that would be enough to think that maybe they had some backstock. I mean if it looks like a duck and it quacks like a duck it should be a damn duck :p

If I would have known that i would have still probably bought this gun but gotten it in the shiny chrome model but i "settled" for a black one because of the adjustable sights option.

The only aftermarket sights i could find are the ones from cajungunworks. Are there others that will work too? I was looking into getting night sights anyways if possible.

Did you get them on yours Impure? Or can anyone else chime in on that?
