I have been looking for a CCW Pistol and dont mind the weight. I have been scouring the internet for a competitively priced 9mm or .40 that is very reliable and accurate. So far i keep running into people talking about this canik 55. For its pricepoint it seems like it cant be beat.

Is it as good as they say it is? As a reloader I want adjustable sights but that may be me being picky. iS there anything else you guys can think of in the same price ranger thats better that you can think of?

There isn't a whole lot of quality choices in that price range. I haven't heard anything negative about these Turkish CZ/Tanfoglio clones.

I buy 99% of my guns on the used market so that may be an option for you. I tend to prefer mainstream guns and I'm not sure I'd trust my life to a Canik. A used Glock / M&P / XD may be a better value. I have always found mags to be an issue with CZ clones...

I have a couple hundred rounds through a Canik 55 from TriStar without a glitch. However it shoots 6-8 inches low at 15 yards and the front sight is already very short so changing it is not an option. Note another thread where poster is looking for adjustable sights for a Canik. I shoot mine occasionally but never carry it.

Turk CZ clones all use standard CZ mags. Easily obtained.

The Sar K2P has adjustable sights and is around the same size as a Stingray. Full size grip with compact slide. A Semi compact.

The TriStar C100 is the light weight alloy frame copy of the CZ75c compact which would make it a good CC weapon.

I have an L-120 which is the alloy frame full size version and its a nice accurate pistol of excellent quality. Standard Mec-Gar 16 and 17 round CZ 75 9mm magazines fit this gun and have worked flawlessly.

Get it!

I have a Tristar P120, Great gun! Very reliable with 150-200 rounds fired with out a hicup!
I added the spring set from GCW as well as the sight set with an FO front sight, very accurate! The SA trigger pull is really nice! Also comes with 2-19 round mecgar mags!

I put a set of wood grips on it and it fits my hands great!
