THEY'RE AFRAID OF US
Have you ever wondered why the liberal power seekers are so adamant about disarming America? They know they're going to continue doing things to us that enrage us and they don't want us to be armed. They want only police and federal agents to be armed so when they come to steal what's ours, we won't be able to stop them.
So they pervert the meaning of the Second Amendment to the Constitution of the United States by misdefining the meaning of the term "militia" that was used in what was thought to be a simple Amendment by the Founders. If Thomas Jefferson had known how their words would be twisted, he'd have used different words. When that Amendment was written, "militia" meant "all citizens" capable of defending themselves and their country. The concept of a "state militia" run by the state hadn't been thought of yet. So the fight to overcome that misuse of words continues and will continue. They're never going to give up.
And why? They're afraid of us. They know that an armed populace is responsible for the very fact that we have (or had) a "free" society. The British couldn't win against an armed populace and neither can today's would-be despots. It has already started. Just about every government office is an "armed camp." In order to even enter, you must submit to an unwarranted search (even if you have a "carry" permit) and, just as at the airport, they take away the smallest item that could, in their wildest imagination, be used as a weapon while they carry guns.
So you'll never see the power seekers admitting that the Constitution recognizes our right to self defense and to own and carry the means to that end. They want guns to be only available to "the authorities." They say (wrongly) that honest citizens don't need guns to defend themselves against criminals (with or without badges) and that we will be protected by the police (while out of the other side of their mouths they tell us it's not their responsibility to defend us).
