Like the title says, I am thinking real hard about getting a Dan Wesson Commander Bobtail tomorrow. Although the 10mm would be a hoot, and is extremely tempting, I think I will get the .45 ACP version.
It'll be for carry primarily.
I do have a few questions that maybe some of you could clear up for me if you don't mind...
The night sights- I know they are Champions with Trijicon inserts, but are the standard sights the ones with the green front and yellow rear? Do they come adjusted already or do I need to adjust and loc-tite them upon getting the pistol?
The hammer- I know some have been prone to breakage, but how do I spot one of these out of the box? Are the breakage prone ones blue or stainless?
The barrel bushing- Are these blued or stainless now? If they are blue I might order a stainless Ed Brown one to match the rest of the gun.
TIA to anyone who takes their time to help me out here. No stores around here have any Dan Wessons to look at first hand, so I am shooting in the dark here and buying based on the company's reputation and the quality of the parts they use. I usually never buy anything sight unseen, so any help here is much appreciated.
