Hi All,

I am seriously considering getting the Dillon XL750. I have 2 Lee Loadmasters (1 9mm and 1 45acp) and I was thinking about selling them to make space for the Dillon. Anyone have any experience with this press? Is it worth the coin they are asking for it? I have never used a Dillon so I am totally in the dark on this.

Any help or advice that you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
John

I recently moved over from a LCT. There was nothing wrong with LCT, I just wanted to ramp up production. I tried the Lee Auto Breech Lock Pro press but returned it and went with the Dillon 750. Just about the time I finished my research on the 650 the 750 was released.

Here is a good thread on the 750 as well:

ETA: I love my 750!!

In all reality a few things to mention.

The case feeder really is a must have add on.
The kms squared light kit is nearly a must have.

I'm told the inline fabrication mount is great, I have the Dillon mount and Dillon roller handle.

Extra primer tubes are very helpful for large production days. I have eight in small pistol and have considered another four more for those crank out some ammo days.

As with all presses. Each has there own shortcomings that you learn and work with or upgrade. I've added the Ebay snowshooze light spring and detent ball for shellplate. His oilite shellplate bearing. Primer catch jar. Live primer catch jar.

Difficult to swallow all that priced together for certain. With that said, after 35 lbs of powder you start to forget what that initial investment cost.

Thanks guys. I used the Dillon Locator and the dealer nearest me is going to let me check out the press and use it a little to see how I like it. If I buy from him he is going to go through the set up with me and we are going to make some rounds before I take the press home. Hard to find dealers like that anymore!

I have the 650 and I have no complaints it works just fine.
The 750 is supposed to be an improved version you will not regret purchasing it.

Little bit of cheating.
Night before dies completely setup
All brass lubed and ready.
800 primers in tubes prior to clock starting.
Still.. all in all a great session

AFter the casefeeder, almost all the gotta-get parts are aftemarket:
1. Inlone Frabrication Ultramount ..much stronger and better desight than factory Strongmoung
2. Inline Fabrication Ergo Handle...better design than factory
3 . Quick release for powder measure
4. Pyrex powder measure container
5 . Spent primer catcher to drain tube
6. Kms squared press light led strip

Bonus. After 30 years of use I worn my 550 out. Dillon rebuilt for the cost of shipping to them. So if you wear the 750 out Dillon will rebuild

Well, I bit the bullet today and pulled the trigger on the XL750 with the Case Feeder. I met with the closest Dillon dealer and he is a top shelf dealer, he went way out of his way to show me the differences in the Dillon and the Lee that I have been using. He spent two hours with me and let me use the press. I found it to be silky smooth and very well built. I was super impressed. He ordered it and I will take delivery in a week or so.
