I've always wanted a Dragunov, but a PSL is probably the closest I will ever get to one. I've got an Century AK, and I love it, and from everything I've read, the PSL is just a really big AK that shoots a 7.62x54r instead of the x39.

For the price, they seem like a great buy. It also gives me an excuse to spend an extra $100 or so and get one of those mosin nagant things everyone keeps talking about.

Is there any reason not to get one?

As long as you know it's unlikely to be extremely accurate (as in subMOA) and the price is right, I don't see any reason not to get one.

There was a recall a couple years back for improper compliance with regulations.

I've read of miscellaneous quality control issues that seemed more common a couple years back but in general it seemed that Century corrected the individual problems without a fuss.

I don't have one myself but I have a PSL on my future buy list.

Saying stuff like that will make some here froth at the mouth.
that's their problem. It goes 'bang' every time I pull the trigger except for every 31st shot. I've shot it out to 200 yds, and it's at least minute of man out to that range.

Last time I took my Century PSL out it put 5 shots in 1.25 inches at 120 yards for my last grouping of the day.

They can be accurate, and if they're not there's a few tricks to getting them to shoot right. I really like the scope they come with. If you can find mags, buy em up.
