Thinking about getting a Winchester 69a

Hi,

I'm considering getting a Winchester 69a.

What would be a fair price for one with standard sights in good shape?

Are there any known issues with these or anything specific that should be checked before buying?

Would they be a good choice for a .22lr bolt gun?

A LGS has one in 90%+ condition with grooved receiver for $369, which may be a wee bit 'high'.

An older copy of Gun Traders has them for between $250 - 425 depending on condition. Grooved receivers are 20% higher. I don't know that much about them other than I have always wanted to add one to my collection if I found the right one. I've always heard good things about them. Also keep in mind that for the kind of money you are getting into CZ territory which are great little 22lr bolt guns... Good luck.. hope this helps some..
