I'm thinking about carrying my 4" 1911 in my cargo pocket. It fits just about perfectly with the barrel pointing backwards and the grip pointed up (I'm new to CCW so feel free to offer safety suggestions if this doesn't sound good). However it prints a little. I have some approximately 1/16" thick shiny black leather that I was thinking of making a small in-the-pocket holster out of. Will this be enough to soften the printing angles and make it look like I'm just carrying a big wallet (I made my wallet myself and it has room for more cash than I ever have ) in each cargo pocket? Would it be good to maybe make the rear part of the holster as wide as the thickness of the 1911 (perhaps using closed cell foam or something)?
Thanks!
