Recently picked up a 232 for CCW. Great piece, but I find the grips to be too thick for comfortable carry. (These are the rubber grips with finger grooves.) I noticed that ebay has a set of plastic grips. I'm wondering if these would be thinner? Thanks.

I’m pretty sure the rubber grips that come with the P232 are Hogues. The hard plastic SIG grips that are the other factory grip option should be thinner.

Thanks. I'll order the plastic ones from eBay. I really like the feel of the oversized rubber grips in my hand, but they seem too add to the bulk of the gun while carrying.

My 232 came with the Hogue rubber grips. I liked them well enough but got a pair of the factory grips off ebay. I ended up liking them better. It was a close call but I ended up liking the profile of the factory grips better as they have a bit more palm swell yet seem thinner. I have larger hands but still wanted thinner grips for this kind of gun. The factoey grips have the meat in the right place. I also like the texture better as the rubber can seem to hang up a bit..

I measured my Hogue rubber grips at 1.19", and the plastic grips at 1.15". Not a huge difference, but some.
