Looking for the thinnest grips for a 1911 with ambi-safety. Please help.

I really like the ones that come on the EMP. Anyone know who makes them for Springfield Armory?

I have thin Alumagrips on my Detonics and they really are quite slim. And they can be ordered for ambi safeties.

Here's a crummy pic that shows just how thin they are.

I don't know if there is anything thinner, but alumagrips can be ordered in slim and for tangless or tanged ambi safety levers in various levels of checkering and for compact or gov sizes.

I like mine, but I don't have the ambi safety

As most of have already said, Alumagrips will be the best due to the strength of the metal. When you get wood that thin, especially around the screw holes, it doesn't take much to overtighten the top screw and split the wood. Not sure how G10 material would hold up, but I'd say slightly better than wood.
