There's a used but in very good condition S&W Model 4006 TSW for sale at a local gun store with a price of $499.99. Does anybody have an opinion as to whether this is a fair price? Thanks.

well, I paid $299 for mine with night sights, but they've gone up a bit the last few years, and the TSW's were a bit higher to begin with. So yeah, that's prolly reasonable.

If it were LNIB, had both factory magazines, box, papers, and didn't have a scratch on it, I'd say that were a fair price. If it were missing its accesories or showed signs of anything but light use, I'd say it's a bit high. Offer $425-$450, and be prepared to walk away if they say no.

I'd be grinning for $400. For $499 I'd grit my teeth and pay the man. Being a TSW I could probably justify it, but only just. $499 is really pushing it.
