Rifles: FAL
AK-47 (AR-15 would be nice too, but between the two I'd take the AK)
Ruger 10/22 (so many choices though)

Shotgun: Remington 870 Police or Wingmaster with 18" barrel
FN semi-auto Police shotgun or
Saiga AK 12 ga with 19" threaded barrel

Handguns: a quality 1911 .45ACP,
Glock 19
Smith & Wesson 442/642
Smith & Wesson model 17 or K-22
Smith & Wesson 27-2
Smith & Wesson 29-2
Browning Buckmark .22LR semi-auto

Not a bad list. Rather than post my own list, I would simply make two suggestions to add to yours.

A Browning Hi-Power.
A S&W K or L-frame .357 Magnum

M94 Winchester
Remington 700
Browning BPS or Rem 870 (Wingmaster)
Browning or Ruger .22 pistol (whatever fits your hand)
Smith and Wesson Model 10
SAA or modern clone
Marlin 60
1911
Block 17 (sorry)

I honestly have little use for your rifles or shotguns :neener:

PS, the 10/22 is not a great gun in it's stock form, well, at least for $200

A fine starting list.
I'd add a Glock 27,40 S&W and perhaps the .45 ACP Glock 30 or 36 to your stable.
Also a Marlin 45-70 Govt. Guide Gun wiil fill the bill nicely for really big critters at shorter distances.
A 30.06 and .270 will fill another hole at reaching out longer for deer ,elk and moose.

My core collection and "gotta haves" expand every time I buy something new. I can't even solidify what my core collection of GLOCKs should be... apparently the 8 that I already have don't quite fit the bill.:uhoh:

Mdl. 41 Smith would be a good call instead of the ruger or buckmark. I have owned all, sold the rest, 41's will never leave my side. You will pay a price for them, but they are worth it.

Nice list. Once you get 'em all you'll just have another list of must haves. So goes the the great hobby of shooting and collecting. Good luck with the completion of your list. I completed mine earlier this year, and go figure, I added another four "gotta haves" to it.

So many guns, so little money.:p

Gee, it seems I'm well on my way to owning a lot of everyone's list:

I already have:

Glock 17
Beretta 92FS
Browning Buckmark
AR-15
Marlin 925

I'm looking to add:

AK-47 (Yugo)
Mossberg 500 or Rem 870
1911
S&W Revolver

At that point, I think my "must have" collection will be complete.

:DI have been looking for stuff but it just doesn't seem to be where I look:D

JJ

SW 1006
Browning 1903/08
AR18
FAL
F/A Uzi
CZ75 and Kadet
Ruger Mk2

And suppressors for all of them! 2 or 3 for each gun!

No collection is complete without at least one or two Mosins.

- M91/30
- M44

The nice thing is, just about everyone can afford a couple.

Goblin, Mesa is a "landlocked" city, part of the Phoenix metro area, and a good chunk of Mesa is getting crappier(i.e. more ghetto) by the day. It's a place where you have a handgun on you, but if you've got a rifle, it's because you hunt or shoot it "for fun".

RtHG77,

If this is your own list you have to post picks of your NFA's! (I don't make up the rules).

:)

Dravur, may the curse of a thousand Lorcins, Jennings, Davis, Bryco, Phoenix, Jimenex pistols infest your dwelling for eons. :D

Min;

A suggestion for a couple of additions.
1. A bolt action .22 lr rifle because: a. It's an excellent platform to practice learning rifle basics & accuracy with. And b. It's cheap to shoot.

2. A good bolt action rifle in a "hunting" caliber. Something like a .30-06 where ammo is easily available - anywhere, anytime. Practice reaching out & touching someone on deer.
