ENCORE® PRO HUNTER™ RIFLE
Pro Hunter’s™ stainless steel barrels deliver the highest velocity available while the precision fluting helps to strengthen the barrel, dissipate heat and balance the rifle for natural handling. T/C employs the latest CNC technology to machine both the target crown and the chamber on every Pro Hunter™ barrel. To assure the ultimate in accuracy every Pro Hunter™ barrel is machine shot at 100 yards by a Master Gunmaker.

SWING HAMMER™Pro Hunter™ features a rotating hammer design called the “Swing Hammer”™ that can be off-set to allow easy access to the hammer spur. This innovative design is patent-pending and addresses the concern about reaching the hammer when the rifle is scoped. The hammer is keyed to allow the spur to be placed in the center, left hand or right hand positions.

FLEX TECH™ TECHNOLOGY
Rifles have become unmanageable to shoot with today’s magnum muzzleloading charges and ultra magnum cartridges. T/C has tamed these hard pounding rifles with their new FlexTech™ stock system. T/C’s Master Gunmakers teamed up with Limbsaver® who is known for their recoil reduction technology to develop a process to absorb shock and vibration. The FlexTech™ stock (patent-pending) by T/C lessens felt recoil by 43% and absorbs the harmful recoil and vibration that punishes the shooter and damages or looses scopes. It incorporates four synthetic recoil absorbing arches that operate similar to a leaf spring. This creates a crush zone that allows the stock to compress during the recoil process. Each coil is unique in length allowing them to cancel different pitches and frequencies created during the shot. Every shooter’s style and body type is different. The FlexTech™ system with patented NAVCOM™ material conforms to your shoulder and puts 50% more shock-absorbing material against your shoulder to disperse the recoil.

NO MISTAKING
There is NO MISTAKING T/C’s next generation Encore rifle when you handle it. Engraved on the receiver is the Pro Hunter™ logo on the right hand rail, the Encore® logo on the left hand rail and the T/C logo on the bottom of the receiver.

go for it. the only problem with this gun is you'll eventually want several more barrels for it. then several more. then ...t/c manufactures the barrels used on s&w's new rifle. of course thats because s&w owns t/c, but thats a different topic

You will be an instant barrel junkie! I don't know anyone that owns one of these that isn't shopping for the next barrel. These are great rifles.

I am interested in responses to this thread too, I think Santa is going to bring me one for Christmas!

I have owned my Encore for 4 years not. I have a 7mm-08, 22-250, and .50 muzzle loader barrels for it. You won't be disappointed with accuracy for hunting, but all of my barrels have been real finicky with bullets that they like. I did have to send the 7mm-08 barrel back to t/c. I couldn't get it to group within 3 inches at 100. There was a burr in in the muzzle from the factory. They cut the barrel off about an 1/8", recrowned and beedblasted it. That barrel consistently shoots 2.25" with 139gr Hondady's, BUT .465" with 120gr nosler bt's.

I do own several bolt actions that will outshoot the encore, but none are as fun to carry and shoot. You'll love it. Just start picking out your next barrel when you buy the first one. I'm thinking a custom 6.5-284...............:D

Well i got my encore maybe 2 weeks after i made this post in 2007! (1526 days ) and Dam your All Right! i got well over 10 barrels for the gun. pistol Grips Folding Stocks and SO much Stuff! lol!

And i LOVE it. i killed Well over 25 deer with the gun. And shot i bet over 1,000rds

(Also i was not on this site in close to 2 years so i wanted to check it out!)
